Masters Message March 2022

My Brothers,

Two years ago this month, Worshipful Alsabe and his line officers were preparing to raise our three candidates as Master Masons. We were putting the finishing touches on our ritual when the labor in the Temple came to an abrupt halt.

When I think back to where we were at this time two years ago, none of us could have imagined the journey that we were about to undergo these past twenty-four months. During these difficult years, we have needed the beautiful and profound lessons of the Sublime Degree more than ever before. It is a sad irony that the Master Mason degree has not been conferred at Saint John's #1P since 2019.

I am proud beyond measure to announce that Saint Johns #1P will be once again conferring the Master Mason degree on our seven worthy candidates this month!

We will be obligating our candidates as Master Masons at our Regular Communication on Wednesday, March 16. The Second and Third sections of the Degree will be delivered at a Special Communication on Saturday, March 19 (opening at 9 am, breakfast provided). I hope that you will join us for both halves of the degree to support our officers and our candidates.

Several more dates to put on your calendar:

Saturday, April 9: SJ1P will be welcomed at Temple Emanu-El (99 Taft Avenue, Providence) for our annual Religious Service. The service begins at 9:30 am, with lunch to follow. If you have never been to a service at a synagogue before, this is a perfect opportunity to do so!

Saturday, May 14: our brothers from Euclid Lodge #136 will be coming up from New Jersey for our annual Day of Brotherhood! Planning is currently underway – more details to follow!
