Greeting My Brothers:
To recap last month’s events, our Grandmaster M.W. Glenn S. Carlson made his special visitation to St. Johns accompanied by a large suite of brothers. There must have been close to a hundred in attendance. After receiving the Grandmaster, we conferred the Master Mason degree on five candidates. It’s been a long time since we had so many brothers in attendance for a degree. Due to the time constraints, we could not deliver the lectures but will open lodge on our rehearsal night, Wednesday the April 10th at 7 pm to do so.
The month of April starts off with the officers attending the District Deputy visitation to Overseas Lodge on April 9th. On April 17th, our District Deputy Grand Master Robert A Palazzowill be making his official visitation to St Johns and the last one for the Masonic districts as he assumes his seat as Junior Grand Warden. We had to make some last-minute changes regarding the speaker, Dr. Story Musgrave, as he could not attend due to a scheduling conflict. R.W. Lynch pulled out another speaker from his magical hat and acquired Brother Christopher Hodapp, author of Freemasonry for Dummies for the evening. Lodge will open at 5.30 pm, conduct business, break for dinner and then receive out District Deputy at 7:15 pm followed by the program.
Our Grandmaster will be having his testimonial dinner on Saturday, April 27th at 5 pm Hope to see you all there. In this communication, you will find the ad for our Euclid Bus Trip on May 4. We will be leaving at 7 am and return about 11:30 pm that night. The cost will be $30 and includes light refreshments and snacks. Seating is limited to 40 people so please make your reservations early.
