I hope everyone is enjoying the beautifulwarm summer weather. Our line officers have been busy getting organized and preparing for an eventful year. We had a very good organizational meeting in July, atbrother Russel Kawa’s camp ground in Coventry, and we are grateful for his generosity to let us use it.
In August, at the Grand Lodge Picnic, Iwas very impressed with the number of brothers from St. John’s lodge 1P in attendance, and I am grateful because it showsour support for Grand Lodge. We had ourSteak Fry, which was a huge success, thanks to all brother swho cooked, grilled and helped, especially our Junior PastMaster Richard Gonzalezfor organizing it. I was so happy to see the camaraderie, brotherhood and the friendships all joined in a beautiful atmosphere. August was a busy month, we also had the Past Master’s Dinner, which was a great success, and I am very grateful for the wisdom and the advice they passon to me. The Lodge’s Annual picnic August 18th saw an incredible turnout of brothers, families, friends and DeMolays. With an estimated attendance of 120. Our Junior Warden(even with his injured finger) and his crew had their hands full! My sincere thanks go out to Brother Josh Irizarry for heading upthis year’s picnic. Brothers Joe Bernier, Bill Mott, John Paliotta, Hugo Adames, Bob Larrabee, Bill Gouge, Scott Alexander, Peter Healey and Lou Manzo along with his son Devin helping everyone who needed a ride. Additionally, thanks to our Senior Warden Scott Miller and his Lady Michelefor baking fresh cookies for us. I can certainly saythat nobody left hungry! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy a fun filled day at the Masonic Youth Center.
As we approach September and there turn to Lodge, we begin to work again in the quarries of masonry. Our monthly communication on September 18, 2019 will have a lecturefrom Bro. Shai Afsai. His talk is titled "The Sage, the Prince, and the Rabbi: Benjamin Franklin’s Art of Virtue, Freemasonry, and Judaism."
I look forward to seeing you all in Lodge, not just now but throughout the year, and we have a busy year.
Wishing you all good health and looking forward to seeing you all.
