Masters Message November 2022

Hello My Brothers,

These days, weeks, and months seem to be cruising along. We are officially entering the holiday season. We have many events happening within these next couple of months. October’s monthly communication was a great night as we had our M∴W∴ Grandmaster come to pay his fraternal visit to our great lodge. It was a well attended meeting and the dinner was delicious as always. It was nice to eat and dwell among brothers, family, and friends. I believe we had about 80 reservations. The program that evening was well received. Many brothers enjoyed the delicious appetizers that Mr. Gracer had provided us, some brothers oddly enough found them to be extremely delicious and could not stop eating, I tip my hat to you. The Grandmaster and myself, we’re wishing our tasty treats were served with a side of Prosciutto di Parma, wishful thinking.

Saturday, October 22, we conferred the Entered Apprentice Degree on two candidates as a courtesy to Roger Williams Lodge. The Officers hit it out of the park, the degree was executed in wonderful St. John’s 1P style. Thank you to all who attended and especially those who participated to make this degree a success!

Our next scheduled communication will be Wednesday, November 16th at 6 PM. Due to scheduling conflicts, our program is TBD.

We have two holidays this month, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Please also take note of our holiday basket drive, and contact the Brothers listed if you or someone you know is in need of one. Also, our holiday party will be back at the Alpine Country Club on Friday, December 9th, please make reservations ASAP. It is sure to be a great night with family, great food, and INCREDIBLE raffle prizes. All proceeds will benefit selected local animal welfare organizations.

If you plan on dining with us for this month's meeting, we kindly ask that you make a reservation.

On behalf of the Wardens and Officers of Saint Johns 1P, we sincerely thank all the members of our Armed Forces active and retired. Each and everyone one of you are true heroes. Also, we’d like to wish you a very happy, healthy, and bountiful Thanksgiving. We are truly blessed to have each other in the craft.

A friendly reminder that Sunday, November 6th is daylight savings time. The colder weather will be moving upon us. As always, I ask everyone to please keep an eye out for any animal in need or distress. It is our duty to help those who are dependent upon us. We are their voice. I sincerely thank you.

Grazie Fratelli Miei ... ... ...
