Masters Message February 2023

Hello My Brothers,

I sincerely hope everyone and their families are doing well as we enter another winter month. We are getting that much closer to Spring.

Our January communication last month was a degree night. I’d like to take this opportunity to once again thank my Wardens and Officers for an exceptional Fellow Craft degree presented on our two candidates. The night seem to effortlessly move forward in great time. Another congratulations is in order to Brother Senior Deacon on his exceptional lecture of the middle chamber. The officer line will be diligently rehearsing during the next couple of months for our Master Mason degree in March.

For our communication this month, we will be switching it up and welcoming back a fantastic speaker who came to us last year. Dr. Samuel Biagetti. Dr. Biagetti will be presenting another wonderful lecture on our Craft. This topic will be “The alleged pre-historic Newport Masonic Lodge” which dates back to 1658. A very captivating and interesting topic indeed!

I’d like to make mention of something I’m proposing for next month. For our March communication, I would like to ask everyone who is able to, please bring cans and bags of food for dogs and cats. Other supplies that are needed are blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, etc. Another easy option is a $5 or $10 Amazon gift card. Many shelters are creating a need/want list for their organization on Amazon. With the cards collected, we can shop for various shelters. Simple and easy, we can click and ship directly to them as a gift and support from St. Johns 1P. Please look for a list of needed supplies to be posted on our St. Johns 1P Facebook page and in the next trestle board. This will greatly help these wonderful organizations in need. This is very much appreciated!

Please do not forget to make a reservation for dinner. Regarding upcoming events, all the dates, times, etc. are listed in this trestle board.
