Masters Message December 2025
My Worthy Brothers,
Let us give thanks as we commence with another joyous Holiday season. I trust and hope that all of you have lots to be thankful for.
And with that, SJ1P’s program theme (Charity, of course) for December’s stated meeting will feature Ms. Lauren Cellucci, representing the Dana Farber Cancer Institute & The Jimmy Fund.
Lauren is the Assistant Director II, Corporate Giving, for DFCI and she has been a valuable partner to me in establishing an online presence for soliciting Masonic donations for the treatment and support that DFCI provides to so many in need. Funds raised for the Jimmy Fund directly support patients, family members, doctors, and caregivers, to show those battling cancer that they do not walk alone.
Your donation, however big or small, makes a tangible difference.
Lauren identified and directed DFCI resources, to accept any and all donations, by creating a giving page, My Giving Page, named “SJ1P for Dana-Farber & The Jimmy Fund.” The URL and/or QR code to access this page is:
https://danafarber.jimmyfund.org/goto/SJ1P (Continue to the
site, it is https secure.)
Please note the scrolling, seen on My Giving page, which lists previous donations, and you’ll see that MWPGM Peter Iacobucci has made a donation in lieu of the stipend that SJ1P was prepared to compensate him with for his November program. Thank you, Most Worshipful. Donors can also identify themselves and state any messaging associated with their contribution to be included in the scroll. You can also remain anonymous if so desired.
In previous messaging, I made a pledge to DFCI for my personal (and yes, ambitious) goal of raising $10,000 between June 2025 – June 2026 and SJ1P and I could use your help to attain this goal and help DFCI to defy cancer.
Earlier this year, all of us associated with St Johns Lodge were touched and saddened by the loss of our Masonic Brother to glioblastoma in the span of 9 short weeks. This personal connection drives me to reach our fundraising goal and truly make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer of all types.
Dinner for the December 17th stated communication will begin @ 6:00 PM and will once again offer a warm and hearty meal. Lodge will open @ 7:00 PM to conduct our business and then commence with the evening’s program.
Per the customary requirement, dinner reservations are required and can be made by calling 401-861-1757 or by email at SJ1prov@gmail. com no later than the Friday preceding the stated meeting. For December, that date is Friday the 12th.
Further, just a few short weeks from now, in January 2026 (yep, next year) we’ll once again experience the honor of making Fellowcraft Masons. My sincere thanks in advance to all the officers who play an important part in this solemn ceremony. I anticipate that it will be another life-changing experience for our newest Brothers.
Please take note of the other two notable SJ1P annual events, the 2025 Holiday Food Basket event – Saturday December 13th (deadline to reserve a basket is Dec 10th) and our 2025 Holiday Party – Saturday December 20th (deadline to RSVP is Dec 5th). Detailed information about both was sent previously. Please heed the deadline dates.
As always, your objective and constructive feedback is welcomed.
Yours in the Craft,
W∴ Robert James Larrabee
