Masters Message January 2020
Greetings my Brothers,
December is always a busy month for everyone, parties, social events, buying gifts and taking care of regular business. I wanted to start by wishing all the brethren and their families, that they had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a joyful New Year.
St. John’s 1P holiday party was successful and joyful. We had about 130 brothers and their families attend. I am grateful for the love of my life, my wife Huda, for putting together such an elegant celebration. The charity I choose this year was the Veterans Home, which I am very happy to announce we raised over $1,500 and donations are still coming.
Our joint meeting with Ezekiel Bates Lodge was a testament of good brotherhood. The amazing R∴W∴Brother Lynchconcluded that meeting with a beautiful presentation on “Constantine and the Birth of Christianity" which was outstanding and enjoyed by all.
On Saturday December 21st, we held our annual holiday basket event. We put together baskets that will help 71 needy families, with the assistance of about one hundred brothers and their families. Our brothers from Daylight Lodgeprepared and served an outstanding breakfast for all those who attended. I am grateful for our Daylight Lodge brothers for the generosity and love they displayed. I am grateful for brothers Adames Jr., Kumes, and my dear W∴Anthony Marcellofor taking the lead on this function.
This month our officers will be back to work in the quarries with the Fellowcraft Degree. Our Senior Deacon has been working very hard on the Middle Chamber Lecture, so please come to support his efforts and those of our wonderful line of officers.
On behalf of myself and the officers of St John’s 1P, I wish you all a prosperous New Year. May the blessings of heaven rest upon us, our families and all the brethren in our great fraternity.
Fraternally,
Mazen M. Alsabe
Worshipful Master
