Masters Message July 2020
I want to start off this new Masonic year for our lodge by extending my gratitude to all the Brothers for allowing me the opportunity to serve this lodge in such an historic time. I know that we have all been frustrated at having to remain at a physical distance from each other over the last few months, but thanks to technology, we have been able to remain in contact. I hope that I will be the only Worshipful Master of St. Johns #1P installed virtually and I want to thank the installation team, R∴W∴ DDGM Andre H. Faria, Jr. and his W∴ GMC Brandt Evans for the impeccable ritual amended to fit the virtual setting. I also want to thank my line of officers as we look forward to a busy and productive year.
Our M∴W∴ Grand Master provided an early glimpse of some rays of light that are most welcome. In accordance with the anticipated Phase 3 start at the beginning of July allowing 50 – 75 people to gather indoors and 75 – 150 people to gather outdoors, Grand Lodge has encouraged all lodges to hold Communications and complete any work of the lodge left unfinished during the past 3 months. As such, the summer months will keep us busy and the officers and I will be working tirelessly to make preparations for a safe return to the lodge room.
I encourage you, my Brothers, to contact me with any questions, suggestions or concerns. May the Grand Architect watch over us all and keep us healthy and safe!
Scott E. Miller
P .S. The expected increase for Phase 3 was less than we were expecting, but work will continue with the hope that August will see additional increases.
